The producer

Virna Borgogno joined her father Lodovico in the cellar in 1988 and now runs the Barolo estate with her sister Ivana. Their family’s vineyard history reaches back to 1720; today the estate works about ten hectares across some of Barolo’s best-known sites.

Fruit & cellar

Source, hands & bottle.

The estate follows the Green Experience sustainability protocol, eliminating chemical weed control, encouraging biodiversity, and using photovoltaic power. In the cellar, different Barolos mature in carefully chosen combinations of larger casks and tonneaux.
